The Greenway 24/7

The work of the Greenway’s Trail Stewards never ends– picking up litter, trimming branches, removing graffiti and even refreshing the paint on the trail’s benches.

A Summer tradition! One of our community’s great events. Live music, tours, basket raffles, and so much more. Tickets are now available here!

Hawkins House – The Restoration Continues

Work continues at the Hawkins House. Shown above is debris from recent work at the house.

Ann Robitsek added a special touch to the Hawkins House as the restoration process gets closer to completion.

If you look closely at the east side of the Hawkins House, you will see our newest member! Ever vigilant, this decoy prevents damage to the wood siding from pecking birds.

Gamecock Cottage Visitation

Members of the Trust recently met with Town officials to discuss the future work at the Gamecock Cottage.

Bruce House Renewed!

Chris Wasko is shown above sprucing up the Trust’s headquarters.

Stony Brook Train Station Beautification Project

The landscaped areas of the Stony Brook Train Station continue to improve under the care of super-volunteers like Emily Riley and Liam Riley.

The Gardens at the Tyler House

Artist, photographer and designer Michael Rosengard brought his talents to the Tyler House gardens. Next time you go by this historic property – take a look!

Wet Paint Festival 2025

The Trust was thrilled to be part of this year’s Gallery North Wet Paint Festival. We set up our tent and table to showcase our efforts to “Protect the Places You Love.”

Passport to Historical and Cultural Sites

We just released by the Passport to Historical and Cultural Sites. With more than 60 pages of our area’s historical and cultural sites, along with a map, checkoff list and cut- out symbols – kids of all ages can immerse themselves in a Summer long adventure of discovery and learning. Fun and educational for all!

We’ll have free copies of the Passport available at our upcoming events! And a new expanded Commemorative Edition is planned for 2026! Here are some photos from our distribution event:

The Monthly Greenway Clean Up

It was another successful monthly cleanup on the Greenway! More than twenty Trail Stewards and community volunteers participated in making the trail the ‘go to’ destination for walkers, bicyclists, and runners.

A More Walkable Community

Vision Long Island advances more livable, economically sustainable, and environmentally responsible growth on Long Island through Smart Growth. Each year, Vision Long Island recognizes leaders and organizations that create a better Long Island. At Vision Long Island’s recent awards ceremony, the Three Village Community Trust, and the architect of the trail, Steve Englebright were celebrated for building a better, more walkable community for all.

The Trust is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization of all volunteers dedicated to Protecting the Places You Love.
