 April 27:

Patriots Hollow State Forest: A discussion of ideas for its future. New York State Assemblyman Steve Englebright will provide a history and introductions. Landscape architect David Lamb will present some ideas with slides (including Drone aerials!) followed by an open discussion aimed at guiding its management as a local “community” forest. Invited: NYS DEC Region 1 Director and NYS DOT Forester.  

 May 25:

The Walkable CommunityWhat are the elements that make a community a safe and pleasant place for pedestrians and bicyclists?  Identify the problems before discussing solutions such as street design, pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, street parking, bike lanes, etc. Our co-host is Sidewalks for Safety.

June 22:

Stony Brook University: Planning for its future and working with the community. SBU Administration is invited to share with us the responses to its request for ideas.
