Join the Conversation – Spring 2017 series:
All are held on the fourth Thursday of each month March through June, at 7:30pm at the SETAUKET NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE: Topics include those that received considerable attention during the meetings of the 25A Corridor Study Citizens Advisory Committee and the Visionings. The purpose of this series is to provide opportunities for interested members of the community to explore in greater depth one of the topics, discover the choices for the future, and express concerns and ideas.
The Walkable Community: What are the elements that make a community a safe and pleasant place for pedestrians and bicyclists? Identify the problems before discussing solutions such as street design, pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, street parking, bike lanes, etc. Our co-host is Sidewalks for Safety.
Stony Brook University: Planning for its future and working with the community. SBU Administration is invited to share with us the responses to its request for ideas.
